DTM J. Andree' Brooks came to STMC.

J. Andree' Brooks, DTM visited Japan at this time was requested by TMi.
This meant that she was attending the 2010 D76 Spring Conference in Tokushima representing TMI.

It was fortunate that our club had a chance to have her on May 29 and exchanged opinions with members. She was really amazed to observe a club in Japan conducting the workshop of "Moment of Truth" systematically and praised. She was much obliged to President Tomita and all the attendees for warm welcome.

She left Narita on May 30 for Roanoke via Detroit with many unforgettable memories.

Joint Meeting with Minato Mirai TMC

We had a joint Christmas with Minato-Mirai TMC on December 12th.
Fifty-five members attended including two new MMTMC members inducted on the day.
We received generous donations for the party from the members of two clubs such as eight home-made dishes and bottles of sake and wine.

Santas and reindeers were seen among guests who had been encouraged to dress Christmassy. We viewed the DVD of the World Championship of Public Speaking 2009; enjoyed a joke shower with a talk show, dance, jokes, and harmonica performance by volunteers; and sang Christmas carols to guitar.

It was a jolly, last event of the year.

STMC Summer Camp
Does the summer camp make you homesick for STMC?
Starting with a Jazz song, a folk song and translated Japanese children’s songs, the sound of various kinds of English songs flowed in summer camp in fresh air of Izu Peninsula.
In the next, an Italian report “Madonna of the Goldfinch”, plays selected from “Jane Eyre”, the lecture of “Family Therapy in Clinical Practice” and even English Manzai and so on were performed one after another. We stayed tightly together in “English-Only” room without going out from the hotel.
You’ll be surprised if you know that even in Table Topic speeches, laughter and the room was filled with plenty of smiles, quite different from regular meetings.
Don’t miss the next camp!
