8月の例会は昨年度と同様に、特別例会です。8月28日の第2回特別例会は、効果的な論評スピーチについてワークショップを行いました。
本日の例会の様子は英語でお届けします。
<Tips for effective Evaluation Speech>
The aims for making evaluation speech are
1:to encourage the prepared speech speaker with immediate feedback
2:to develop our impromptu skill.
To achieve this goal we can keep “five tips” in our mind
1 Be specific/2 Prioritize your points/3 Be motivating and encouraging/ 4 Demonstrate when you make recommendations/ 5 Remember to conclude
Above all, Tip 3 is important. We had better avoid two extremes: 1 “White-washing” 2 “Destructive criticism”
Both elements will spoil the speaker.
Let’s give constructive feedback with warm heart!
