Chief Judge Briefing : #3 Meeting Room
…. Six Judges, 2 Timers and 2 Tally Counters were briefed by Chief Judge.
…. Necessary documents (Judge’s Certification of Eligibility and Code of Ethic /
Speaker’s Certification of Eligibility and Originality) for the contest were collected accordingly.

13:30-13:45
Contest Chair Briefing: #3 Meeting Room
…. All the contestants were briefed by Contest Chair and the speaking order was decided.

14:15
President N.N declared the start of the #470 meeting.
In the business session, he announced that the Area Contest will be held on Oct.1 at
Ninomiya, Division Contest will be on Oct.9 in Kawasaki, and District 76 Fall Conference
will be on Nov.2-Nov.4 at Nikkei Hall in Tokyo. World Champion of Public Speaking from
Singapore will be one of the keynoters.
A visitor. Mr. H was introduced to the members.

14:20
Contest Chair announced the start of the In-House Speech Contest.
Speaking area was shown and every contestant tested the microphone by him/herself.
After the chief judge’s verification, the speaking order was introduced.

English Tall Tales Contest

Intermission for 20 minutes
…. Chief Judge collected Timer’s sheet and Tie-Breaking Judge ballot.
…. Two tally counters collected judges’ ballots.
…. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners were decided in #3 meeting room.

After the intermission
A model speech (Japanese) was delivered by M.H.

Interview session
Every contestant was interviewed by Interviewer K.T. and given the Participation Award
by Contest Chair.
After that, the winners were introduced by Contest Chair and the awards were given by President N.N.
