Area 57 International Speech Contest was held on March 5 at Chigasaki Labor Citizenhall.

The Japanese Contest was hosted by Southern Beach Toastmasters Club.
The English Contest was hosted by Shonan TaastmastersClub.

Area 57 consists of 4 clubs, Southern Beach TMC, Odawara TMC, Mishima TMC and Shonan TMC.
More than 50 members of 4 clubs participated in the contest to support and cheer their representatives.
Six contestants in Japanese and 7 contestants in English competed for the Area Champion.

All the contestants showed their best performance.
The contestant from Mishima TMC in Japanese and the contestant from Southern Beach TMC in English won the victory.

TM N.N. from STMC was the second place winner in English and the alternate for Division E International Speech Contest to be held on April 2 in Yokosuka city.

After the contest the party was held in the same room.
As many as 41 Toastmasters participated in the party.
They spent a wonderful time with each other.
