Shonan received two awards at the Hall of Fame as:
I: The Select Distinguished Club
II: The Achiver of Wildly Important Goal

Being a Select Distinguished Club, Shonan is officially recognized as one of the top 60 clubs of 175 clubs in Japan. The Wildly Important Goal Award was awarded to 53 clubs that have a membership of 30 or more. Accordingly Shonan was the nineth largest club in Japan with our membership of 42 at the end of June, 2016. There were three such clubs in Japan: Sendai, Eight Princes TMC and Shonan.

The two awards will go to Immediate Past President Akiyoshi Miyamoto. Miyamoto-san – many congratulations and thank you for leading us to the great success!

Now it’s time to report on the results of the Table Topics Speeh Contests held on Saturday for the Championship of the Japanese Table Topics Speech Contest and on Sunday for that of the English contest.

The competitions were fought with an amazing result. The victories of the two contests went to one person – no other than Toastmaster Oshima Tomohide, who was representing our division: Division E.
