TMOD for the meeting was TM Takeo and the Grammarian was TM Eiki, the Vote Counter was TM Hiroko and the Timer was TM Jade.

[Word of the Day]
Word of the Day was “crucial” (adjective) as selected by TMOD Takeo. The word has two important meanings. Extremely important or necessary aspects, or subjects as:

1. Her work has been crucial to the project’s success.
2. It is crucial that the problem is tackled immediately.
※A Word of the Day is selected by a member for every meeting. Members try to use the word as often as possible for practice.

[Prepared Speech Session]
※Speakers are assigned a few weeks prior to the meeting for a 5-to 7-minute speech based on a manual called “Path”, which has various objectives including presentation, facilitation, and panel discussion.

The first speaker was TM Ichii and the title of his speech was “To be better communicator.” He introduced one way for grouping communication styles into four – Analytical, Amiable, Driver, and Expressive – using two axis of Emotion and Assertiveness. Where do you fit? Understanding the style of your speech may be the key to be a successful communicator.

The second speaker was TM Hiroko and the title of her speech was “My precious ordinary backpack.” So light, so handy, yet so practical to carry, that she takes it to wherever she goes. We enjoyed listening to some precious memories she had with her ordinary backpack.

[Table Topics Session]
Table Topics Master of the meeting was Jade. Her table topics questions theme was HEALTH.  Various questions were posed on topics such as exercising, drinking, and health checkups!

[Best Table Topics Speaker Award and TMOD Award winners]

In the Award Presentation, TMOD announced three best table topics speakers: TM Hiroko, TM Icchi and TM Yassi. Congratulations!

As for the TMOD Award, it was presented to TM Hiroko, because she bought the Christmas goods for the meeting and displayed these for the meeting.

Happy Halloween

[Word of the Day]

[Prepared Speech Session]

Speech#1:Bobさん Title: 「Serendipity」 No Project

Speech#2: Eikiさん Title: 「Story of Toilet」 Presentation Mastery L3(Increasing Knowledge) Creating Effective Visual Aids)

[Table Topics Session]
Table Topics Master of the meeting was Tsukasa.
Some table topics were closely related to the second speech by TM Eiki , on the history of Toilet. Others were to Culture day. It seems that there is some difference in Western culture and Eastern culture.

1. In some English-speaking countries they have unisex toilet. What do you think of this?
2. As for sports training we Japanese students were obliged to have irrational training like rabbit-leaping and so forth. Have you had this type of training before?
3. What is culture for you? Answered by Kazuo-san
4. Music – what is your recent recommendation? Answered by Guest Keiko-san
Autumn is said to be a season good for sports. What are your favorite sports, why? Answered by Yassi-san
5. Autumn is said to be a season that makes us feel hungry! Is there any food that makes you feel Autumn has come? Answered by Ichi-san
6. Autumn also makes us feel sleepy! How many hours do you sleep a day? Answered by Jade-san

Best TTS: Ichi-san
