今回653回のTMOD（例会司会者）Eikiさんのレポートです
今日は雨降る、肌寒い１日でしたが、英語の堪能なゲスト1名をお迎えし例会はハロウインムードで一気に盛り上がりました。会場係の弘子さん、オーナメント、お菓子、睦さんはクッキーを有難うございました。Happy Halloween!!!

[Prepared speeches, Evaluations and Grammarian]
※スピーカーは、数週間前からスピーチの準備をし、本番（当日）に臨みます。スピーチ時間は約５～７分。それぞれいろいろな分野のスピーチを集めたPathというオンラインベースのマニュアルを使い、実践でプレゼン能力を鍛えます。湘南ではSpeech後 はQuestion-And-Answerがあり、聴衆からの質問に答え、対応力を鍛えます

第１Speakerは美保さん、スピーチのタイトルは”Never ending learning Pathways”
入会されてから初めてのスピーチ　Ice Breaker Speech です。
インドやオーストラリアの方たちとお仕事の経験があり、英語を習得するために松本亨英語学校に通ったそうです。TMODのEikiさんも中高時代、NHKラジオ英会話で松本先生に習いました。

第２Speakerは美和さん、 タイトルは”The Good Kind of Bad Behavior”
これもIce Breaker Speechです。
彼女はアメリカの歌手、” Micael Petersonのデビュー曲、”Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie（飲み物、誓い、盗人とウソ）”に心を打たれそうです。英語には二つの意味があることがあり、コトバには深い意味があるとのこと、共感しました。　最後に彼の曲を聞かせてくれました。カントリーウエスタン風の聞かせる曲でした。

その場で出されるテーマで2分間ほどの即興スピーチをする、とてもドキドキするセッションです。　論理性、説得性だけでなくカンと度胸も身につく世界共通のプログラムで、湘南ではお客様も含めて全員が挑戦します。

今日のTTマスターMutsumiさんは このセッションの質問からすべての構成に初挑戦されました！トーストマスターズはこのように例会の役割を徐々に担当し、長時間のセッションの運営・構成が自然にできるようになります。はじめての役割で素晴らしい質問を考えていただき、ありがとうございました。

Q1. Tell us your favorite movies and describe the story, also about the actor or actress. And tells us why.
Arai -san talked about his favorite one, 007 series, starring Sean Connery .
Q2. Tell us something about Japanese history or World history. Or tell us on your favorite person.
Takigawa-san talked about famous Busho, such as Nobnaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu . He was very interested in the Battle Era because he was from Aichi Pref. where many historical battles broke up.
Q3. What subject did you like most in your high school? What subject did you dislike?
Miho-san liked most subjects including science and mathematics – one of her strongest subjects.
Q4. How did you feel when you first learned English? How did you study English?
Jade-san met her first English teacher when she was 8 . She said there were various teachers : good or bad. But she has been improving her English by her effort and her own talent!
Q5. About a pet. Mizuno-san talked about his dog which he had in his childhood. It was sad that his dog was hunt and gone.
Q6. Do you believe something related between the blood type and your personality?
Miwa-san didn’t know her own blood type before coming to Japan. Americans and many Westerners don’t care about their blood type. So we were very surprised to know that this is a very private matter for them.
Q7. Newspapers: what article do you read?
Ishii-san enjoys reading sports columns in newspapers especially on sumo.
Q8. What do you do to keep healthy?
Kaneko-san talked about his own daily life, getting up at the same time, eating meals, never skipping , at the same time , going to bed at the same time everyday. Living regularly everyday is very important for the health. By his clear and persuasive talk, Kaneko-san got today’s table topic award!
Q9. How much do you spend your smartphone? And recommend some app to us.
Cassa -san and Sugi -san were the masters of using smartphones !
Q10. When is your happiest time in a day?
Hiroko-san talked gently about her daily life with her family and her gardening. It was a nice speech showing her gentle and sensitive manner and personality. Thank you for your decorating Halloween ornaments in the TMC activities!

最後にアワード受賞式です。金子さんは健康の秘訣をシェアしベストTT賞を受賞、その例会の司会を担当するTMODがその例会にいちばん貢献した会員に贈るTMOD賞は初めてのWord of the Dayをgesture豊かにつとめた信一さん、ハロウインを演出、会場を盛り上げてくれた弘子さんです。本当にすてきな例会となりました。

今回652回のTMOD（例会司会者）Ichiさんのレポートです
We had a really good meeting with 11 TMs attended. “Nascent”, which means early or developing, was selected by Cassa-san for the word of the day. The meeting was fully configured having 2 prepared speeches, 2 evaluations and Table topic sessions.

[Prepared speeches, Evaluations and Grammarian]
※スピーカーは、数週間前からスピーチの準備をし、本番（当日）に臨みます。スピーチ時間は約５～７分。それぞれいろいろな分野のスピーチを集めたPathというオンラインベースのマニュアルを使い、実践でプレゼン能力を鍛えます。Speech後 はQuestion-And-Answerがあり、聴衆からの質問に答え、対応力を鍛えます

Jade-san made an excellent speech how to motivate club members. It really made sense since we have many newly joined club members. Cassa-san made a second speech which has interesting topic about how foreign people were composed in an emergent situation based on his experience. It reminded me that we needed to control emotion when accident happened. Mutsumi-san debuted as an evaluator and did a pretty good job. Congratulations, Mutsumi-san!

Here is a special comment to Miwa-san, who made a suggestion in grammatical improvement for us. Her knowledge on English language as a native American is a precious asset for STMC. Thank you Miwa-san.

今日のTTマスターYassiさんは 3種の質問を用意しました　「台風の秋」「誕生日」「色々な季節のはじまり」 . . . いろいろ面白い質問でしたが、なぜ 誕生日？　それは今月がYassiさんが誕生された月だからだそうです。　お誕生月 おめでとうございます！！！

This time we had three types of questions. First of all, on Typhoon season . . .
Q1. What preparations will you make for a typhoon, including evacuation？ (Miho-san)
Q2. Tell us about the most scary typhoon experience you have ever had. (Shinichi-san)

The 27th of this month is Topics Master Yassi’s birthday.
Q3. How do you feel about your birthday and what episodes do you have about it? (Miwa-san)
Q4. Do you think the birthday of someone else is also important? who is that and the reason? Please tell us about it. (Jade-san)

Now we are in the beginning of autumn. I would like to ask questions on autumn as you all would have expected. 
Q5. Autumn is all about autumn leaves, and I think we’ll soon be able to enjoy these everywhere. Where do you think the autumn leaves are the most beautiful? Please share with us any memories you have of the place. (Mitsumi-san)
Q6.Autumn is the season for sports, right?  What sports do you like?  And how do you enjoy them? (Ichi-san)

最後にアワード受賞式です。今日のベストTT賞に加え、その例会の司会を担当するTMODがその例会にいちばん貢献した会員にTMOD賞を贈ります。本日のTMOD賞は今回はじめて論評をされたムツミさん。TT賞は奥さまとなさっている百社参りの壮大な旅行計画を話されたBobさんでした。

本日、第651回の例会のTMOD（本日の司会）は、わたしJadeです。スピーチで盛り上がる例会のあとにいつもは楽しいお茶会で盛り上がる湘南ですが、今回はなぜかカラオケで盛り上がりました。
音楽が趣味のかたが多いこのクラブで、はじめての企画です。入会して間もない方たちの美声を聞かせて頂く機会にもなりました。秋も段々深まっていきますね♪

[Word of the Day]
Word of the Day（今日の言葉）は、“undeniably”です。Wordmasterはウッチーさん　副詞で意味は「否定のしようがないほど」「明らかに」
「 She’s undeniably good at making people feel comfortable.」「It’s undeniably a great deal」などのように使われます。

毎回、“本日の単語”を設定し、発言時に使うようにします。“undeniably”は自説を強調するのに使いやすい言葉で、今回はたくさんの会員に使われ、最後はカラオケでundeniably 楽しい時間を過ごしました

一番目のSpeakerはMutsumiさん、タイトルは、「My Dear Sherlock Holmes」、Presentation MasteryというPathの「Introduction to Vocal Variety and Body Language」というプロジェクト　プレゼンの基本で声とジェスチャーの使い方をまなびます
Mutsumiさんはなんと小学生時代から日本シャーロック・ホームズ・クラブに入会されていた筋金入りのシャーロックホームズ・ファンだそうです。著者のコナン・ドイルやホームズの本、鎌倉にある英国アンティーク博物館のホームズの部屋と話題も広く、シャーロッキアンとしての愛情が脈々と感じられる素敵なスピーチでした

2番目のSpeakerはichiさん、タイトルは「What a fun DIM is」
同じPresentation MasteryというPathの上級プロジェクト、レベル４「Managing a Difficult Audience（難しい聴衆を仕切る）」です
これは聴衆の中にあらかじめ数名アサインしておいた「難しい聴衆」にスピーチを妨害させ、スピーカはその妨害をうまくさばき、スピーチをやりとげるというプロジェクトです。いかにも現代的なプロジェクトですね　
スピーカは大好きな内容についてのスピーチですので妨害を巧みにさばき、お見事でした！

今回は入会後はじめてTable Topics Masterを実施するTakigawaさんから「春と秋ではどちらが好きですか」「最近関心をもったニュースはなにですか」などと「好きなもの」をテーマにしたテーブルトピックスが出題されました

1. There are distinct four season in Japan. Which season do you like more, summer or winter?
2. Which season do you like more, spring or autumn?
3. There are people who like alcohol. What liquor do you like best? And what is second favorite liquor?
4. Japan is surrounded by the sea, and 70% of the country is mountains. Which do you like more, sea or mountain?
5. There are a lot of nice place in Kanagawa Prefecture. Where do you like best in Kanagawa?
6. Where is the most memorable place you have visited?
7. What is your favorite sport? Do you have a favorite team, and who is your favorite athlete?
8. What food do you like the most? And what is your second favorite food?
9. Do you sometimes eat noodles? And what is your favorite noodle?
10. What is the recent news you are interested in particularly?
11. Do you watch much television? What kind of TV programs do you like?

最後にアワード受賞式です。今日のベストTT賞は自分が一番好きなスポーツについて語ったIchiさん　その例会の司会を担当するTMODがその例会にいちばん貢献した会員に贈るTMOD賞は時間ルールがいつもとちがうプロジェクトを含む今日の例会ではじめて計時係をつとめたMinoruさん　でした

本日、第650回の例会のTMOD（本日の司会）は、Yassiさんです。Toastの傍ら、俳句を楽しんでいるYassiさん　今の季節を表す言葉に「新涼（しんりょう：新鮮な涼しさ）」があるそうです。これはどうやら、夏の終わりに涼しく感じることを意味しています。しかし、現実はまだまだ残暑が厳しい夏です。皆さんお元気ですか？
今日は出席予定者お二方にハプニングがあり、急な欠席になりました。なんと飛行機が欠便となり、参加できない事態に。しかしお二人のボラティアのリカバーにより、無事例会を開くことが出来ました、大感謝です。
また例会後には嬉しいことに、入会希望者のMihoさんの入会式を開くことが出来ました。収穫の秋のはじまりが予感できる例会となりました

Word of the Day（今日の言葉）は、“Contain”です。紹介者のKazuoさんが使い方により意味が変化する例を紹介してくれました。
1. Include (含む) ex. Sea water contains about 3,5% of salt.
2. Enclose (封じ込む) ex. The government succeeded in containing the disease in one city.
3. suppress, control (抑える) ex. He wisely somehow contained his anger.

毎回、“本日の単語”を設定し、発言時に使うようにします。今回は“resonate”というきれいな言葉をうまく使うよう全員 努力しました。

一番目のSpeakerはEikiさん、タイトルは、”Kanazawa Seaside Line”、 Speech後 Question-And-Answerがあります。
Eikiさんの今日のスピーチはPresentation MasteryというPathのプロジェクトで、既に実施ずみのプロジェクトをさらに洗練させて実施するという内容です。 Speech後 Question-And-Answerがあります。現役時代に携わったお仕事のお話で、数十年を要し大変な苦労の連続だったようです。
写真入りのスライドを使いながら、まさにNHK番組のように説明してくれました

2番目のSpeakerはCassaさん、タイトルは”Is it anger management”
Cassaさんのスピーチを楽しみにしていましたが、旅行先の北海道から飛行機が欠航して帰れなくなり、どうしましょう　．．．というところで急遽Ichiさんが英語クイズを楽しむセッションをご提供　なんと思いがけず、英語クイズを楽しむ機会となりました。臨機応変力がすばらしい！！！

今回はTable Topics MasterのTakeoさんから「夏と秋の季節」に関するトピックがだされ、季節の移り変わりを感じるセッションとなりました

1. We have intense hot summer this year. So, what is your good memory of this summer?
2. In summer、many fireworks were held. Did you enjoy the firework? If so, please tell us the name of the firework.
3. As seasonal event in summer, Bon dancing is held many places. Did you enjoy Bon dancing? If so, where you dance.
4. If you like movies, please let us know the title of the most impressed movie or TV drama you saw this year.
5. We hope we will have cool autumn soon. If you have any plan for trip in autumn, please let us know.
6. In autumn we have many kinds of fruit. Which fruit do you like? Why?
7. As you may know, it is said the autumn is suitable for sports. What sport do you do?
8. It is said that the autumn is good season to read book. If you have plan to read book. Or, If you have the impressed book which you read this year. Please let us know the title of the book
9. As you may know, the grand sumo tournament will be held form tomorrow. Since Sumo is the national sport of Japan and many young sumo wrestlers such as Aonishiki from Ukaraine and Oonoyama are very active, I enjoy watching the TV program of the tournament. Do you enjoy the grand sumo tournament?
10. It is said that the autumn is good season to enjoy music. What kind of music do you like?

最後にアワード受賞式です。今日のベストTT賞に加え、その例会の司会を担当するTMODがその例会にいちばん貢献した会員に贈るTMOD賞はEvalauatorの代行を担当してくれたKazuoさん。TT賞は再びKazuoさんと今日入会されたMihoさんでした。今年92歳のKazuo さんはダブル賞を受賞され大奮闘でした。
