\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On the occasion of the Spring Conference, Toastmasters from all over Japan gathered at Hitotsubashi Hall, Chiyoda-ku, to enjoy the speeches (in Japanese and English) by 16 distinguished speakers representing each division, with the motto \u201cSPARK\u201d in mind. \u201cSPARK\u201d widens the horizon in front of us and brightens our thoughts.

\n <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cMy secret to success\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 TM M. J. She had survived a terrible car accident, which lead her<\/span> to be convinced that what\u2019s important is not about money thing but\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 actually life itself, friends, family, and love.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLine\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 TM R. K.\u00a0\u00a0 She has impaired sight and thus she noticed the white canes for<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 them draw a line between the disabled and not disabled not only\u00a0<\/span>when people take care of them but also when people praise them.<\/span>\u00a0She wants people to cross the Line , not treating them differently.\u00a0\u00a0
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cLife is Hard\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 TM R. L. H.\u00a0\u00a0 He admitted we\u2019ve got a lot of problems on different stages of our<\/span>\u00a0lives without exception. But when we accept that as \u201cThat\u2019s a life\u201d, we can see<\/span> life differently and we all still have a good time.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWhat\u2019s that supposed to be?\u201d TM M. C. K.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0She started the speech with \u201dHave you ever had your dream destroyed by negative<\/span>\u00a0 comments?\u201d She once got a comment on her drawing: \u201dWhat\u2019s that<\/span> supposed to be?\u201d , which formed mental block in her about drawing.\u00a0<\/span>Luckily she was saved by her little daughter\u2019s saying \u201cJust try. \u201c<\/span>Just try and fight against negative circumstances is the answer.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cYou\u2019re gonna be OK.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 TM N. S.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0When she exhausted herself by raising her baby only on mother\u2019s<\/span> milk, she met an elderly doctor, who had been an army surgeon.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 His words \u201cTake it easy, you\u2019re gonna be OK\u201d were very effective.<\/span> She imitated his way of speaking so skillfully.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cMagic Words\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TM J. B.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>He encouraged us to use magic words. For example, instead of<\/span> saying \u201c Have a nice day\u201d,\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cHave a dynamic day.\u201d or \u201cHave a\u00a0<\/span> colorful day.\u201d might fascinate people more. \u201cAvoid using boring\u00a0<\/span>ordinary words and use your own magic words. \u201c
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThe day that changed My Life\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 TM C. M.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Since the day of his horrible car accident, what is important for\u00a0<\/span>him has totally changed as a survivor. Thinking what if he would die , he\u00a0<\/span>encouraged us to say \u201cI love you\u201d more to our family, appreciate <\/span>them and spend more time together.<\/span><\/p>\n
