\n <\/span>President N.N. declared the start of the #479 Regular Meeting<\/u>.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>In the business session, President N.N announced the items below.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>District Officers meeting will be held on February 11 in Kawasaki. From our club 4 officers will participate.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Area International Speech Contest will be held on April.1 in Odawara.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Division International Speech Contest will be held on April.15 in Kawasaki.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Introduction about \u201cPathways\u201d will be made on March 24.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/span>Contest Chair announced the start of the In-House Speech Contest.
\n <\/u>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Contest chair confirmed the timing guidelines for the contest.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Speaking area was shown and every contestant tested the microphone by him\/herself.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 After the chief judge\u2019s verification, the speaking order was introduced.<\/span><\/p>\n

International Speech Contest

\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>All contestants gave excellent speeches.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Chief Judge collected Timer\u2019s sheet and Tie-Breaking Judge\u2019s ballot.
\n <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Two tally counters collected judges\u2019 ballots.
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> winners were decided by these ballots.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>She asked various questions appropriate for each contestant, respectively\u00a0<\/span>creating a warm atmosphere. Contestants and the audience felt relaxed with it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Generally the First place and the Second place winners advance to the area contest, but this time in place of the Second place winner, the Third place winner will participate in the area contest. This is because the Seconrd place winner TM M.H. is, due to her tight schedule, not able to advance further even if she would get the first place in the Area.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thus, TM N.N. and TM Y.W. will participate in the area contest as our representatives.<\/span><\/p>\n
